The Ottawa Valley Seed Growers will once again be hosting the Kemptville College Alumni during the Ottawa Valley Farm Show. The 90th anniversary show takes place March 14-16 at Ottawa’s EY Centre.
Set for March 15 from 1 to 3 p.m., the Alumni gathering is coordinated by Isabel Kinnear and, as she points out, it draws an “excellent crowd” of former Kemptville College students.
Had it not been for the University of Guelph decision in 2014 to discard its satellite colleges in Kemptville and Alfred, Kemptville College would be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2017… making it 10 years older than the farm show!
We salute the Alumni for preserving the spirit and many of the artifacts of what was one of Eastern Ontario’s most beloved agricultural institutions!
