For the third year, the Vintage Iron & Traditions of Eastern Ontario will present the collectible toy tractor sale from the Antiques area in Hall D. This year, the sale will feature a medallion series John Deere model 620, recognizing the 100th anniversary of John Deere. The first in the series has been donated to the Prestigious Pedigreed Seed Auction, benefitting CHEO. In past years, this donation has been a big success, with George Tackaberry and George Nesbitt with the winning bids in the sales’ first two years. One of the tractors has also been donated to the toy tractor sale at the Syracuse Farm Show. There will be 124 collectible model tractors available and none of them will be sold before the show. A lottery draw will decide the serial number of the tractor for visitors to purchase. A full-size John Deere 620 will be on display in booth 3227, compliments of Glen Edwards from Navan, Ontario. This is part of a special exhibit celebrating John Deere’s 100th anniversary.
